Received my official nice!nano v2 this week. Bootloader v0.11.0 and Openpuck v0.9.31. In testing it, I'm getting I'm getting disconnects followed by complete crashes that require unplugging/plugging in the board to fix.
This is more to notify than to request a fix as I've Supermini boards that behave better.
Happy to test stuff or get any debug info you need.
@safijari commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2026):
Huh. Weird.
Do the superminis also crash/disconnect some times?
@stickman-dev commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2026):
My thoughts too. I would have expected the nice!nano to be the stable one. The Superminis have been behaving themselves (with one little issue with long play sessions, it would start to ignore random inputs after a couple of hours. Still verifying that though so not made an issue).
That said, since I posted this issue, I've updated my Supermini to the latest version and had a little sesh and I've had the occasional disconnect. I wasn't getting any disconnects on the Supermini with whatever version I was using previously.
I'm going to have to look at this more and test some old versions on both the supermini and nice!nano and get back to you.
Just out of interest, do you keep your controller firmware updated? I updated mine and wondering if that's broken something.
@safijari commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2026):
Yes I try to stay on the latest update. I updated both controllers 2 days ago.
@stickman-dev commented on GitHub (Jul 12, 2026):
Ok, this is bizarre. I re-flashed the boards with latest version and tested everything is fine again. I can't seem to reproduce the issues I was having. I did flash with the uf2 file instead of doing a 'make deploy' this time, but that shouldn't make a difference. I'll just chalk this up to "computers can be f**king weird". Sorry to have bothered you with this. Closing this.
