Hi there !

For starts, thanks a lot for OpenPuck, I was looking forward to connect my Steam Controller to my Switch !

For the issue, I did the flashing of the microcontroller and it's recognized in the WebUI and in Steam as a puck without issues. But I just can't link the controller to it. I tried plugging the controller via USB (which gets it recognized by Steam) but then it won't pair with the openpuck. I tried switching the pairing slot (with R1/L1 + A) as stated by Steam, it does a different sound when turning on but doesn't seem to help.
Am I missing something ? Is there a log of any kind I could provide ?

Thanks !

Okay so I was able to connect both, here's what I did in case someone has the issue:

  • Turn off the controller
  • Connect the OpenPuck (wait for it to show on Steam)
  • Maintain L1 + A on the controller while pressing the Steam button, it should make a different turning on sound to signify the changed pairing slot
  • Connect both the OpenPuck and the controller to the PC (the part I was missing)
  • It should now be paired with the OpenPuck on the second slot
  • To connect it back to the OG puck, turn the controller off and maintain R1 + A while pressing the Steam button, it's now on slot 1 and should connect without issue

It would be nice to add it somewhere in the docs, in my memory, you could connect the puck, disconnect, connect the controller and then it was paired.
Hope it will help someone and thanks again for this !
