The Switch Pro controller mode does work with the switch (1) at all. The console doesn't respond to the input at all. It does respond to the Hori Pad perfectly fine though without gyro/motion controls (as stated in description).

I am experiencing the same issue. Shows up and works fine on my PC as a pro controller, but my switch does not respond to the input from the puck in switch mode.
@Philip-Scott commented on GitHub (Aug 4, 2026):
I can confirm that at least a build from main works on both the Switch 1 and 2. It did take a few seconds for the Switch to "Pair" with the controller (had to press the face buttons until it paired)
Make sure to enable the pro controller wired communication!
@safijari commented on GitHub (Aug 4, 2026):
Please enable pro controller wired mode as the readme says.
