Was it better in a previous version? What board are you using?

The kids just did Mario kart with 2 controllers on my Dorhea board and there didn't seem to be an issue but I'd like to try to replicate what you're seeing.

Same board: Pro Micro NRF52840

previous versions disconnected my controller altogether

I mean can you please share a link? We've found in the past that there's different variants of the Pro Micro and some are more stable than others

I’m also having issues on switch mode on switch 2 where inputs occasionally repeat. Like, I’ll let go of the stick while going forward and my character will keep going forward, for example.

This is the board(s) I purchased

Teyleten is a board I have as well, I can test with that.

Can you confirm if you're only having this issue on the Switch 2 or elsewhere too? How far are you sitting from the puck?

Seems like it, although I only have a switch 2 and pc to test, and I’m only like 2 feet away from the puck (it’s on my computer desk that I’m sitting at)

I've been using firmware version 0.9.10 on the Switch 2 for over a week, and the connection has been stable with no disconnects at all. In fact, when using a wireless headset, OpenPuck shows stronger connection than the stock Joy-Cons.

@papcos33-ops so I can understand were you having these issues on a newer version but not on 0.9.10?

The 3 changes since that could be responsible are:

  1. A fix for when inputs could stay stuck when changing modes
  2. Proper decoding of rumble packets from the Switch to stop constant vibration in some games
  3. Switch 2 controllers no longer report as charging and report the battery value correctly

Sorry for the confusion. I experienced frequent dropouts with the very early firmware versions, but I haven’t had any disconnection issues since version 0.9.1. The latest version has also been stable

Is anyone involved still experiencing this?

I haven’t been on my switch much lately, but I didn’t get any drops in my last session. Connecting the board to an extension cable and moving it far away from my switch (and other devices) seems to have helped, as a post I read on Reddit mentioned something about 2.4g devices being prone to interference. Regardless of its validity, it at least worked, or placebo’d me into thinking it worked. I’ll do more tests

I've also had this recently. It's most noticeable in mario kart where you're nearly constantly sending inputs and as soon as they stop you kinda get screwed. I'm on the latest version, 0.9.31.

Experiencing the same, I am using this Board:

If I can somehow help get debug data, let me know!
