So I've been running 0.9.66 from the latest Actions build after the #273 PR got merged.
It works much better than before and the controller doesn't completely drop inputs for 2-3 seconds at a time (which is happening with the current latest release from the Releases tab)
However, I've still noticed some weirdness when playing with it recently... especially today...
I held down the Right Trigger for a longer time since in a game (Garfield: Escape From Monday, surprisingly good actually haha).
When pressing it the first time Garfield launches forward a bit, and if you keep holding it he rolls further until you let go.
Sometimes the input drops for a brief moment and comes back, so it's as if I am letting go and pressing it again (doing another launch)
I don't really know what to look out for in the logs, if there is any.
The main one I found in the
controller.txtinsideSteam/logs/is just about controller connection state, which is logging thousands of messages.(Fixed in #316 )
I assume this isn't as noticeable in e.g. racing games where letting go and pressing the trigger within a short period again is not that big of a deal, but yeah... it does seem like there's still something the official puck does better in that regard, which isn't 100% emulated here...
Could it perhaps have to do with an automatic channel switch? Checking the "RF Recovery & Channel Journal" section on the OpenPuck web configurator shows 20 and 22 in the "Recent" column for 2 channels respectively...
