Hi, I've built main branch up to commit github.com/safijari/openpuck@0020aa674a and tested xbox mode on an unmodified Xbox 360 (dragged it out of storage). I'll be honest, the physical test checklist at docs/XBOX360.md is mostly incomprehensible so I've just done my own testing.

Confirmed working:

  • All buttons, triggers and joysticks in dashboard and in a game
  • Rumble
  • Plug in USB to puck while console is on
  • Cold boot console with puck plugged in
  • Puck plugged in, controller turned on and connected to puck after plugging in
  • Puck plugged in, controller turned on and connected to puck before plugging in
  • When console is powered off, USB ports still provide power so the puck will always be on and controller stays connected to puck

Not working:

  • Unable to turn on console from powered off state by holding guide button (steam button)

The console seems to recognise everything correctly with the exception of not being able to power it on, which in my opinion is pretty minor but worth noting.

That list is slop that I should have caught and fixed or removed during.

Thank you for testing.

hey, im the vibecoder that built the xbox360 support, it was really late so sorry for not putting more effort into the md, but yes it does work on my stock hardware but yes I never go it to turn it on from sleep as that wasn't something I was worried about. the source code should be public on my repo at this point so you can look there.
