Hello, everyone. First of all, thank you so much to everyone and to the community for making the impossible happen. You guys are awesome. I tried installing FSR4 or DLSS on RDR1 via the Optiscaler Client. When I launch the game, the Rockstar login screen doesn’t appear. I’ve tried everything so far… I don’t know if this is something Rockstar has updated as well. Anyway, if anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks
Game name and version:
Red Dead Redemption 1 (Steam) - Login With Rockstar Launcher
Mods and mod versions used
OptiscalerClient-1.0.6.1-win-x64 and Texture Mod (Nexusmod)
GPU
9070 XT
OS
Windows 11
Did you use automated or manual installation?
If using AMD/Intel and Automated, did you use DLSS inputs?
Please also mention in the description which upscaler inputs are used (which upscaler you selected in the game settings).
The Client Doesn't Work :( The rockstar login dont let me play.
Did you check the Wiki and Compatibility List?
Please describe the issue and the steps to reproduce it

I have attached
Optiscaler use dlss, fsr and xess upscalers in game. I think launcher login window not use anyone upscaler. I think, problem do not on the optiscaler size. And you didn't upload optiscaler log. Sory for my bad English 🥺
I have the exact same issue. I was trying the new DLSS 5. First, I used it through ReShade, which worked as expected. But the newer versions are made for OptiScaler.
The first time I noticed this issue was when I installed OptiScaler through the custom fork. Removing OptiScaler resolves the issue, and Rockstar Services connect correctly.
After that, I fully reinstalled the game and also downloaded the latest version of OptiScaler from this repo. But the problem remains the same. I tried these injection methods: dxgi.dll, winmm.dll, and dinput8.dll.
Since the game is on the compatible games list, I am now leaning toward thinking that it may be some kind of Rockstar Launcher detection issue. I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this.
@rastomanchik sorry, i did not understand it was necessary make a upoload of the Log. The funny thing is: When i do the steps to install de FSR4 or DLSS, the game presents the problem that i said. After delete the files (Optiscaler Client), the game works fine.
@ViktorPikulyk thats the screen, bro. Same here... i can not do anything unless close the game. i've try everything and not works for me, including the steps that you said. I have the 9070 XT and everything is in the list to works fine in my PC.
3 commenters and not a single one followed the issue template properly 🙄
Same problem here, with exactly the same screen. With ReShade I can use the DLSS5, but with Optiscaler don't.
Well, i think there's more players with the same problem that i expected hahahahhaha
@TheRazerMD
I am a new user on the platform and am still trying to understand how the process works. In any case, instead of criticizing, help us understand and solve the problem more efficiently. You can count on us. Best regards.
Injecting with
d3d12.dllfilename instead ofdxgi.dllfixes the issue for me.@njooobe thanks for the tip. I will do that! :D
@njooobe tried, same problem :(
Google's AI summary told me to disable the overlay menu, it used this (https://github.com/optiscaler/OptiScaler/issues/751) as its source and it worked. You just have to set
OverlayMenu=falseinsideOptiscaler.ini. You really can't tweak much using the menu while logged out so the only way to make it work is to read carefully while tweaking the .ini file and hope it works.@rastomanchik hope this helps, the issue is that when we load the optiscaler it doesnt let "social club" to start, and game thinks that we are not logged in at all. When we use different dxgi, it tries to launch dll into rockstar launcher instead of rdr.exe
i can help you get more info if this is not enough or unclear
OptiScaler.log
OptiScaler.log
when used winmm.dll rockstar logins but optiscaler wont work.
Got RDR1 (Steam) working with the official OptiScaler v0.9.4 and the Rockstar login screen showing normally.
Setup: Linux (Arch) + Proton Experimental, RX 6700 XT (RDNA2).
OptiScaler.dlltodxgi.dll.WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dxgi=n,b" %command%OptiScaler.ini: With the overlay menu on, Social Club's in-game renderer (SocialClubD3D12Renderer.dll) never shows the login. Note thatOverlayMenu=falsedisables OptiScaler's frame generation.FSR 4 works fine this way. As others mentioned, the logs posted earlier in this thread are from an unofficial "AMD-NR" fork, not an official build.
I just installed the DLSS 5 manager - playing red dead for the first time - installed optiscaler and tried to launch the game - same error of "not logged into rockstar games" - even deleting DLSS 5 software cannot restore connection with rockstar... simply game is stuck
