DISCLAIMER: I used Gemini CLI to generate these changes. I did manually review and test the changes, which seemed to work very well. I am not a professional programmer or developer, but I have some experience with python.

I created this MR to support faugus native installations (install from the AUR in my case) as well as flatpak installations.

Seems to work for me.
