first of all, thanks for this helper tools 👌
and i want to share my experiences as well while using this tools
i have some weirdly going on in my CachyOS
i can't even manage to change the sink to the LutrisToSunshine, it always reset back to my speaker
https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4da1ff1c-28a0-4100-b075-bb91310a2f47
so in the end, i modify the script a bit, to make it set the default sink to my speaker in -launch-app.sh
what i did change is replace ALL PULSE_SINK value to mine
then to handle the audio leak on the host, i just need to make it mute when streaming and toggle it back after stream ends, so i just add the command for it
wpctl set-mute @DEFAULT_AUDIO_SINK@ 1inside the -set-resolution.shand
wpctl set-mute @DEFAULT_AUDIO_SINK@ 0inside the -reset-resolution.shsince this both script is already added to the all game list
Feedback

Thanks for the feedback and for sharing your experience!
I've actually re-worked how the audio isolation works to make it more robust (it’s been working great on my end). Give it a try by pulling the latest script and setting it up again to see if it resolves things for you.
Regarding the specific points and workarounds you mentioned:
"i can't even manage to change the sink to the LutrisToSunshine, it always reset back to my speaker"
That is actually the intended behavior! By default, Sunshine tries to set the sink it’s streaming from as the system default. The goal of this script is to isolate host and client audio so that if someone is using the host PC (watching videos, etc.), that audio won't interfere with your stream.
Because of this, the script automatically changes the default back to your speaker. You shouldn't ever need to change it manually.
"then to handle the audio leak on the host, i just need to make it mute when streaming and toggle it back after stream ends..."
Muting the host entirely was exactly what I was trying to avoid with the isolation setup, but I'm glad you found a temporary fix that works for your current setup. Hopefully, the latest rewrite fixes the root of that leak for you.
If you're still having issues with the latest version of the script let me know.
