Check where/how each source stores games info, if it's a db file or a json we should get it from there, should be faster than running commands.

Good to know: For Steam there is a specific file (it's a .vdf file) for it on the users home directory within the steam profile config path, where you can get a list of the steam games installed on the machine. I recall having made something with it. I can add the description and specific coding of the file later on if needed.

Edit: I also could try to create some sort of PoC for steam. I created something to extract games from Moonlight to add it to steam as shortcuts. Parts of the code could be kind of reused.

Edit 2: Nevermind. That vdf file was for shortcuts only. But I think there should be a similar file for installed games. I will try to figure something out.

Edit 3: I just saw that the script is already processing the vdf files as well as the manifests. I think that is already the best way for Steam games.

It's been a WHILE since I touched that part of the code, but I think the biggest one and the reason I created this issue was Lutris, if I remember right we're using some lutris command to get a list of it's games instead of reading it from a file and it's probably why it takes a second before returning the game list.

Maybe Bottles and Heroic as well? These were the first 3 added so I think my decision making was poorer then.
